Cru Kids is a club for children and grandchildren of UMHB graduates. Your kids will grow up surrounded by the same Crusader spirit that you grew to love as a UMHB student. You can start now by giving them an authentic experience of a lifetime. There are fun events and benefits for all ages!

From infant to age 18, all Cru Kids can join!
Your membership includes a Cru Kids t-shirt, a membership card, and birthday card from our mascot! You will need to wear your t-shirt or have your card for access to Cru Kids events and perks. Membership runs from September to August. Sign up now and join the fun!

Registration and Fees
A Cru Kids Annual Membership is only $25, but if you register by August 1, it is only $20.
Cru Kids grow up already feeling the sense of home that UMHB offers all its students. Your registration covers an entire year's worth of fun events for your kids. 2026-2027 Cru Kids memberships are from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2027.

Crunk’s Birthday
September 19, 2026 | 9:00 p.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Get ready to celebrate Crunk in true Cru spirit! Join us from 9:00–10:30 a.m. for a morning full of birthday fun, sweet treats, family-friendly activities, and plenty of purple and gold excitement. In lieu of gifts, help us support students by donating Easy Mac to The Source, UMHB’s on-campus food pantry. After the celebration, stick around and cheer on the Cru at the first home football game of the 2026 season!
Cru Kids Day at Crusader Stadium
October 10, 2026 | 11:00 a.m.
Cru Kids, this one’s just for you! Head to Fredenburg Field at 11:00 a.m. for fifteen minutes of unforgettable fun with UMHB Football, the Sader Belles, Cru Cheer, and Crunk. Cru Kids will get the chance to run through the tunnel, toss the football around on the field, and grab high-fives and photos with their favorite UMHB athletes.
This special experience is exclusive to Cru Kids, so don’t forget your Cru Kid T-shirt or Cru Kid ID for entry. Cru Kids can also check in at their own special station during the first half of the Homecoming football game. Just be sure to bring your Cru Kid ID along for the fun!
Virtual Kindness Project with Easter Pageant
March 22, 2027
Cru Kids are invited to help spread encouragement and joy to the UMHB students participating in the annual Easter Pageant. Our goal is to deliver 300 handwritten notes to cast members as a reminder that their Cru family is cheering them on. Download one of our card templates or create your own masterpiece, then return your cards to the alumni office by March 20.
Families are also invited to join us on Monday, March 22, at 4:30 p.m. as we hand out the cards to the cast together. It’s a simple but meaningful way to share kindness and encourage students during one of UMHB’s most treasured traditions.
The Hangout
April 30, 2027 | 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Come experience campus life at UMHB during The Hangout at the McClinton Family Recreation Center! Spend the evening alongside Student Foundation students and campus recreation staff for a fun-filled night designed to give Cru Kids a taste of the college experience.
We’ll have pizza, games, and plenty of space to play, with the rec courts open for basketball, volleyball, and more. It’s the perfect chance to make memories, meet UMHB students, and enjoy a night full of fun and Cru spirit!
BONUS EVENT* ARTS RUSH Cru Kids Edition
February 5, 2027 | 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Cru Kids are invited to experience the arts at UMHB during a special Cru Kids edition of Arts Rush! Young artists will enjoy hands-on creative activities, art, and interactive fun led by UMHB students and faculty. It’s a chance for Cru Kids to explore their creativity, meet new friends, and get a glimpse of the exciting visual and performing arts opportunities at UMHB. This event costs $15 per Cru Kid, but they will get an Arts Rush t-shirt, pizza, and all the supplies for their class. We have classes available for elementary and middle school students. Space is limited, so sign up!
