Cru Kids is a club for children and grandchildren of UMHB graduates. Your kids will grow up surrounded by the same Crusader spirit that you grew to love as a UMHB student. You can start now by giving them an authentic experience of a lifetime. There are fun events and benefits for all ages!

From infant to age 18, all Cru Kids can join!
Your membership includes a Cru Kids t-shirt, a membership card, and birthday card from our mascot! You will need to wear your t-shirt or have your card for access to Cru Kids events and perks. Membership runs from September to August. Sign up now and join the fun!

A Cru Kids Annual Membership is only $20.

Crunk’s Birthday
September 14, 2024 | 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Please help us celebrate Crunk’s birthday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. We will have fun activities, cupcakes, and enough Cru spirit for the whole family to enjoy. If you want to bring Crunk a gift, please donate Easy Mac to The Source, UMHB’s on-campus food pantry for students. Following the party, stay to enjoy our first home football game of the 2024 season.
Tea with Miss MHB & Catch with Mr. Crusader Knight
September 28, 2024 | 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Join Miss Mary Hardin-Baylor, Mia Hanks, and Mr. Crusader Knight, Cordell Spears, at the Musick Alumni Center and Museum at the Parker House on Saturday, September 28, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Inside, Tea with Miss MHB will include tea, light refreshments, storytelling, and crafts. Outside, Mr. Crusader Knight will play catch with the Cru Kids and assist them in creating spirit signs for the football game. This is a come-and-go event, allowing Cru Kids to participate both indoors and outdoors if they wish.
Cru Kids Day at Crusader Stadium
October 12, 2024 | 11:00 a.m.
Cru Kids! Join the UMHB’s Football team, the Sader Belles, Cru Cheer, and Crunk, at 11:00 p.m. for fifteen minutes of fun on the field! Cru Kids will have a chance to run out of the tunnel, play catch, and get high-fives and pictures from UMHB athletes. The event is a Cru Kids exclusive, so make sure your Cru Kids have their t-shirt or Cru Kids ID to participate.
Cru Kids @ Science Saturday

Join the College of Humanities and Sciences for their annual Science Saturday on November 2 from 9:00 a.m. to noon in the Wells & York Science buildings. As you have fun with the hands-on STEM activities, you can enjoy a special UMHB gift! We have a limited supply, so sign up today!
Cru Kids @ Cru Basketball

We invite you to the Mayborn Arena for Cru Kids Day with our Crusader basketball teams. After the game, Cru Kids can hang out with our basketball players for high-fives and selfies.
UMHB Crafternoon
February 7, 2025 | 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.
Join us for an afternoon filled with imagination and creativity at our Cru Kids Crafternoon. We will have multiple craft options to choose from and help from a UMHB Art student to give tips and tricks for the best techniques.
UMHB Easter Pageant
April 16, 2025 | 12:30, 3:00, & 5:30 p.m.
Experience one of UMHB’s long-standing traditions; on April 16, UMHB will present the 86th Annual Easter Pageant. Show times are 12:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 5:30 p.m.
No tickets are needed for this event; all seating is first-come, first-served at Luther Memorial. Cru Kids and their families are invited to the Musick Alumni Center and Museum at the Parker House for light refreshments after the show. There, they can hear the Easter story read by a former Jesus or Mary and create an Easter craft.
Bike Ride Across Campus
May 2, 2025 | 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Get ready for an exciting day of fun and adventure at our Bike Ride Across Campus! Our student guides will lead you on a fantastic bike ride around our UMHB. We will start at the Alumni Center and make our way to the best spots, stopping at designated stations for some games along the ride.
Cru Kids must bring their own bikes, tricycles, scooters, etc.
