Brandie joined the Exercise & Sport Science faculty at UMHB in July 2021 after graduating from Oklahoma State University with her Ph.D. in Health and Human Performance and with a Graduate Certificate in Statistical Methods and Analyses in Education and Behavioral Sciences. Originally from Wylie, Texas, she completed her B.S in Kinesiology from Texas Woman's University in 2010. Brandie completed her M.S. in Exercise Science in 2015 from Texas Tech University, where she gained experience working with patients in cardiac rehabilitation. Before beginning the Ph.D program at Oklahoma State University, she was an 8th-grade science teacher and girls athletic coach in Wylie ISD. She likes to spend time with her family and two dogs, Lexie and Franky, during her free time.
