Dr. Dylan Pich is a saxophonist, music educator, and composer originally from Union, Missouri. He has performed at regional, state, national, and international events, including North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA) Regional Conferences, the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) Conference, the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Conference, and the World Saxophone Congress. Dylan has shared the stage with many incredibly talented musicians, including Dame Evelyn Glennie, the Barcelona Clarinet Players, Eugene Corporon, Brad Leali, Eric Nestler, and Steve Wiest.
Dr. Pich has taught woodwind instruments to students of all ages, from 7 to 90, and remains active as a saxophone instructor throughout Texas. His saxophone students have received high marks at solo and ensemble festivals, earned placements in Region, Area, and All-State bands, and presented successful solo and chamber recitals in both Missouri and Texas. Several of his students have gone on to become successful music educators themselves!
As a composer, Dylan seeks to integrate pop music genres and techniques into many of his works, allowing his personal music taste to strongly influence his compositions. His music has been described as inventive, effectively written, fun, and self-described as weird.
Dylan holds degrees from the University of North Texas, Missouri State University, and Southwest Baptist University. He currently resides in Denton, Texas and actively works as a saxophone instructor, performer, and composer/arranger. He currently teaches in the Forney and Frisco Independent School Districts and at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas.
