BELTON, Texas –– Houston rapper Paul Wall performed at Schoepf’s BBQ on Aug. 15 for his tour “The Great Wall.” The tour celebrates the 20-year anniversary of Paul Wall’s commercial debut album, “The People's Champ,” with hit songs like “Drive Slow” featuring Kanye West and GLC and “Sittin’ Sidewayz” featuring Big Pokey.
The authentic Houston icon is one of the biggest artists to perform at Schoepf’s, despite the city and venue being smaller in comparison to other cities where he has made appearances.
“The smaller cities are the places where we’ve always gotten major love from people, they are not afraid to show that they’re a fan or show how they have appreciation for you,” Wall said, about why it’s important to him to give back to his fans and acknowledge the small cities, too.
