Master of Science in Management
The UMHB McLane College of Business Master of Science in Management (MSM) program contains a 30-hour curriculum that includes courses to help build communication, client management, business process management, budgeting/forecasting, people management, and project management skills. While gaining knowledge of core business topics, students will acquire an understanding of how to address the issues and challenges of managing the dynamic environment inherent in today’s enterprise.
Is This Your Degree?
The Master of Science in Management (M.S.M) is designed for students with degrees in technical fields such as Computer Science or Engineering seeking management acumen. While technical expertise is in demand, being able to bridge the gap between technical and business areas is a valuable and unique skill set. The MSM is also appropriate for students with an undergraduate degree in a liberal arts field who would like to enter the business world, as well as undergraduate business majors seeking an advanced management degree prior to entering the workforce.

The MSM is delivered using the hybrid method.
Students attend two on-campus, half-day residencies at the beginning and end of each course, all on Friday or Saturday. Residencies are coordinated to ensure a maximum of three weekend trips to campus each semester. Coursework between residencies is administered through distance-learning technology. The university values the need for advanced professionals in the workforce and the hybrid delivery best accommodates a personal and distinctive educational experience.
