Pre-Pharmacy Program

If you have a strong desire to help people feel better and get well as quickly as possible, a career as a pharmacist could be a good fit for you. The pre-pharmacy advising program at UMHB is designed to help students who plan to attend a pharmacy graduate program by providing them with information and support they need as they prepare for and apply to pharmacy school.

Students wishing to pursue a career in pharmacy services may major in any field of study, as long as they also complete the foundational courses in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics that pharmacy schools require. UMHB’s pre-pharmacy program in Texas has advisors who are equipped to help you tailor your studies to your particular interests, complete the foundational coursework required for pharmacy school, and navigate your way through the application process.
