In this session, Dr. Akers will share her research on forgiveness as a vital component of holistic health, demonstrating its impact on nurses’ personal well‑being, spiritual resilience, workplace relationships, and quality patient care. Through qualitative, quantitative, and mixed‑methods studies, Dr. Akers emphasizes forgiveness as a deliberate, faith‑informed process that supports self‑care, professional sustainability, and compassionate nursing practice.

In this session, Dr. Stephen Baldridge will present research on food insecurity, specifically within this community and on college campuses. He will highlight efforts in place to address this and lead a discussion about ways we can help may sure our students’ basic needs are being met.
