Molly Rumbelow:
- Instructor, British Life and Culture
Molly Rumbelow is a Blue Badge Guides in London. She has graduate degrees in art and design history. One highlight of her course is a late-night Jack the Ripper tour of London. Professor Rumbelow is regularly sought after to lead travel and study groups in London.
Patricia Passes:
- ARTS 1350 / 4391: Art Appreciation: students in this course will take weekly trips to London’s many art galleries to learn about masterpieces created from ancient times to the present
Tricha Passes is a graduate of the Courtauld Institute, London, an internationally renowned university specializing in the History of Art. She also holds a Master’s degree in Visual Culture from Bath Spa University. Tricha's key subject interests are Nineteenth and Twentieth century art, with particular focus on Avant-Garde Modernism in France and Britain, Modernism in the U.S.A, and Art and the Environment. Tricha has taught in the Art History Department at Bristol University since 2005 and in the History Department since 2013. In 2009, she won Bristol U’s Teaching and Learning prize for the Faculty of Arts; in 2019, she won ‘the best of Bristol lecturers’ award for the Faculty of Arts. She also has taught in the Visual Culture Department at the Faculty of Creative Arts at Bristol UWE since 1998, the Department for Continuing Education at Oxford University since 2008, and on American Studies Programmes in London since 1999. In December 2013, Tricha became an accredited lecturer for The Arts Society. Tricha's research in 2007 was concerned with artists and their relationship to the environment. She gave a seminar paper for Bristol University in November 2007 on the North American artist Neil Jenney, which involved travelling to New York to interview him about his practice. She worked for the American contemporary art magazine Artforum from 1984 to 1990 and has written art review articles for a variety of magazines in Bath and Bristol.
Dr. Sue Healey
- THE 4391: London Theatre: students in this course will study all aspects of theatre through classroom instruction and weekly trips to plays ranging from fringe performances to big-budget productions.
Sue Healy, from Ireland, holds a PhD in modern theatre history from the University of Lincoln, with a special focus on London’s Royal Court Theatre. She is Program Leader for Lincoln’s joint creative writing and English undergraduate program and serves as Literary Manager at the Finborough Theatre in London. An award-winning prose writer, Sue is also an accomplished playwright whose work has been produced, broadcast, and staged. She has been commissioned to write for screen and is a journalist. Dr. Healy is co-authoring a forthcoming book with
Professor Harriet Devine, 70 Years at the Royal Court Theatre, scheduled for publication by Methuen Drama in 2026. Her book The Literary Manager’s Toolkit. a practical guide to literary management in theatre, was published by Routledge in 2023. In 2024, she served as Visiting Professor of Narrative at the University of Turin. She also spent 12 years living in Hungary, where she edited Hungary AM, and she speaks Hungarian.

Dr. Tim Crawford (UMHB)
- CSBS 4391: The Bible in Artifact and Art: students in this course will study the physical world of the Old and New Testaments; includes visits to the British Library and museums.
- CSCH 4311: Antisemitism, Christianity, & the Holocaust: students in this course will study the history of anti-Judaism from ancient times to the modern era; includes visits to relevant historical sites.
Dr. Crawford is the Dean of UMHB’s College of Christian Studies. He holds degrees from Samford University (B. A), Southwestern Seminary (M.Div), and Southern Seminary (Ph.D.). His academic specializations include the Bible, the Hebrew language, and Holocaust Studies.
Dr. Rob Tucker (HSU)
- ECON 4391: How Britain Shaped the Global Economy: this course examines the historical and contemporary economic impact of Great Britain on the world arena, from the Industrial Revolution to the 21st century.
- MUSI 4391: The History of Rock Music: this course traces the history of rock music with focus on British rock bands; includes visits to O2, the Hard Rock Café, and the British Museum.
Dr. Tucker is a Professor of Business Administration and Music in HSU’s College of Arts and Media. He holds degrees from Hardin-Simmons University (B.M.), the University of Cincinnati (M.M.), Texas Tech University (Ph.D), Howard Payne University (M.B.A.), and Grand Canyon University (D.B.A.). His book Like a Crown: Adventures in Autism discusses the joys and challenges of raising an autistic child.
