Interprofessional Education (IPE)
The UMHB Interprofessional Education (IPE) Committee facilitates opportunities to enhance learning and support student development in their respective professions. The IPE Committee promotes instructional and experiential learning activities to prepare students with the competencies required for collaborative practice. The IPE Committee also supports faculty in developing IPE activities.
UMHB Programs involved with IPE include:
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Physician Assistant
- Social Work
- Public Health
IPE activities are developed among the UMHB health professions programs faculty. In addition, selected IPE activities are developed with UMHB clinical partners, such as Baylor Scott & White Health and Baylor College of Medicine, Temple Campus.

- Elder Abuse Simulation
- Embrace Health – Service Learning
- Dementia Simulation
