CAE Peer Tutor Job Description

• Have an overall GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
• Have made at least a B (A preferred) in the course(s) for which they tutor
• Must be available to conduct tutoring sessions according to the assigned schedule, which may include some evening hours
• Have good interpersonal communication skills
• Exhibit regular and punctual attendance
• Exhibit appropriate interactions with students
• Submit session summary reports in Navigate in a timely manner
• Attend required training and meetings provided by the Center for Academic Excellence
• Maintain accurate knowledge of academic course content of all courses assigned for tutoring
• Remain updated on training and knowledge of safety procedures of potential emergency situations occurring in the Center for Academic Excellence
• Receive payment according to Work Study or Part Time pay standards
• Engage in mandatory training required for CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) certification
