What we accept: We accept items generated by the University itself, as well as memorabilia from significant times in our history or colleges. Items like student scrapbooks, yearbooks, textbooks, uniforms, works authored by alumni or faculty, pictures, letters and stories connected with our past. We also accept a limited amount of furniture, glassware, and architectural items on a case-by-case basis.
We do not accept the following items: Items related to other schools; liquid, flammable, or chemically unstable items; items that are living, such as pets or animals of any kind; items not related to UMHB or the field of the person donating. For example, we would accept a lab coat worn by a former chemistry professor, but we might not accept his recipe for chocolate milk.
Digital Collections
The Townsend Memorial Library’s Digital Collections are a growing resource that includes unique images and documents from the library’s archives and special collections, or from other campus units including individual academic departments and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor’s Musick Alumni Center and Museum at the Parker House.
As part of its educational mission, Townsend Memorial Library provides online access to digital versions of selected materials from its collections for educational and research purposes. The Digital Collections make unique materials and scholarship available electronically for use by students, faculty and staff, researchers, and the wider community.
